Welcome to the Comprehensive Plan Logo Coontest page for BHS student-artists. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the Belmont 2050: Vision for a Thriving Future comprehensive plan project.
Comprehensive Plans are a tool used by cities and towns to create a blueprint for the future, coming up with a vision, goals, and strategies for addressing transportation, land use, recreation and a host of other subjects that the Town can work on (see our project page here). There are many examples of comprehensive plans for other communities as a quick Google search will show.
We are looking for a logo that incorporates the plan name and some key features of Belmont, Some ideas that our Committee came up with include having a Belmont Gardenia, maybe a town building or landscape, something in the background that signifies progress or moving forward, or anything else you think that would resonate. If there are color schemes for Belmont like BHS colors, those could be incorporated. See below for just some examples of plan logos elsewhere.
The entries are due Friday, March 21, 2025 at 5:00 pm and our Committee will select the top three finalists for a wider vote. If you have any questions, feel free to email me, Chris Ryan, at cryan@belmont-ma.gov
File types should be .psd, .ai, or other importable file type.
Good luck!
